Hajoui gave this copy to the Pacha des Glaouis (the ruling figure in Marrakech,
and ally of the French). To the pacha he writes ( in Arabic): " He
begs our great lord to accept this gift. May God give him much happiness
and make him an even greater man". When Morocco gained independence
in 1956, the Pach's entire goods were confiscated: his many books went
to the Rabat General Library.
